Tavius Koktavy is graduating from NYU Gallatin in May 2019. Formerly from Boulder, Colorado, he now studies a concentration in Emerging Technologies which combines computer science with social and art theories. Originally a photographer, his emphasis has shifted towards a wider range of digital art, utilizing code as a medium. Concerned with integrating a human element as the grounding core of both software and art, his interactive works encourage viewers to become active participants with agency to affect the art in persistent and even permanent ways.
