About
Gene Bae is a sophomore at NYU, originally from Rockland County, New York, studying Finance and Management. Gene was surrounded by art growing up as his parents and older sister decided upon fashion and performing arts as a career path. His decision to focus on business as an area of concentration was one made out of practicality rather than passion. Consequently, Gene spends a lot of his free time expressing his creativity through his interests in music, film, and graphic design.

“Empty Head” is a lo-fi instrumental composed by Gene Bae which includes a mixture of inspirations including Jazz, Alternative, and Ambient themes. The song is accompanied by a lo-fi short video that shows raw footage of young adults in New York. The sedated and drawled mood of the song parallels the attitudes and actions presented in the video.
